Goat Eye.

Here I was looking at my old sketchbooks from freshman year and remembered that I went through this sort of crack series.
So I started to explore it once again and this is what I got a few cracks in...
I did a few others that look like other things, so those should be up soon.

S.Y.O.A.D.

This is my Ideogram for my Comm III course. Guess what S.Y.O.A.D. stands for.

Life Drawing: Personal Work

In this series I chose to explore the Skeletal System more. This drawing right below this one is what my forearm looked like when I broke it in 2001(?). I couldn't get the actual x-ray but this is pretty much what it looked like.

This is my hand. I took the weird position from a photo that I used in another piece for my EAS class. During LifeDrawing I was having trouble with foreshortening, so I decided to use this piece to try and overcome that problem. I think it's decently done.

This is an x-ray image of a broken foot, the chunk of bone in the middle of the big toe bone is the piece that's broken off. Don't ask me how it got broken there.

Karl & Alexis: The New Cat

This is Karl and Alexis. They just got a new cat, Toki. Together Karl and Alexis seem to love Toki, and with Alexis thats no question. But with Karl, he could do without. In this mini-series of Double Lives, Karl has had enough with this cat, so much that he's thinking about having Toki help him make dinner.

Toki was not harmed in the filming of these photographs.

Anson: The Functioning Alcoholic

When I was in high school, my spanish teacher Mr. G (and I will leave it at that) had a problem. He kept this problem private until one day it became too much. In this mini-series of me, I tried to portray the struggle that Mr G must have went through, the personal struggle that I can't grasp, only seem to try to.

Karl: The Office Transvestite

This is Karl. Karl is your everyday paper-pushing office worker. But at night, a different side is shown. Like Batman Karl has two sides to his life. One that he must shroud in secrecy.

Karl was one of my favorites to shoot, there are so many sides to him that he can display so well and he is so willing to do any idea I came up with it was hard not to capitalize on his personality portrayals.

Ryan & Emily: The Lovable Abuser

This is Ryan (Lumpy) and Emily. They are a loving couple, one of many happy ones I know, in public. In private tempers rage and alcohol gets the best of Ryan as he proceeds to show his dominance over Emily through one of many ways.

Of course, Lumpy and Emily are honestly one of the happiest couples I know, and I assure you that Lumpy would never such a thing, but they were willing to participate in this series, and for that, I thank them.

Scott: The Musical Meth-head

This is Scott. He graciously volunteered to let me shoot photos of him enjoying two big parts of his life. Music and Meth.

Of course Scott doesn't really do Meth, this is just a series of photographs which I aply-named Double Lives. Throughout this series you will see two sides a person(s) life, mainly one good and one bad. Showing the internal and external struggle of man, relationships, and life.

Randy... and Frank.

This is rounding up my semester work. I kinda wanted to do a work that couldn't really be possible, that's not the way the waters of the world flow.

It's A Shame.

Of all the jokes I've made about baby animals and the inconveniences that they go through, this is probably the one that's the most disturbing to me. No Jokes Here.

Stump-ulumpogus.

'Deforestation: Destroying the Lives of Baby Deers since 1800.'
Which is actually true, I did the research, I don't just come up with stuff off of the top of my head, America started Industrial Deforestation in 1800-1805.

Omega 3 Fish Oil.

This is one promo I did for Oil Spill Awareness. I didn't know it would become such a big news topic these pasts few weeks.

Choking Bird.

Over these next several posts, I'll be posting the Post-GoGreen pictures I've been working on the last part of the semester.

This is a piece I did on a wooden panel thats about 5' x 4' .

Its a portrait of my Grandfather and Grandmother Pruneda.

Acrylic on Wooden Panel 5'x4'
Apr. 2010
This is most likely the first of a series I plan on doing over the summer.
My plan is to have the pieces get progressively more detailed using the same portrait.

New Series

This series is going to semi-tie in with the GoGreen ads, except be more animal based,
this is the first of a few I have lined up.

The text on the actual project I turn in will be different,
I just used this text for my own personal humor.

New Green Ads.

These are a few of the GoGreen ads that I made for my EAS class.

Notebook Drawings.

Some pen drawings I've done in a few classes. What Karl Dahmer would call:
The Art Of Taking Notes
The Eye.
All Eye No Brains.

Printmaking. Pt II.

This is the last stage where I added a Navy Blue.

Printmaking.

Here are the stages of my Woodblock Prints I made in the Fall of '09

This is the Golden Stage, which actually ended up coming out more Yellow than Gold.

This is the Green stage that I laid on top of the Golden stage.

This is the Red-Rust stage. I say Rust because when the Red was laid on top of the Green and Gold, it came out more Brown than I anticipated.
